A research programme is essentially a sequence of theories within a domain of scientific inquiry. Each later, or successor, theory, is held to mark an advance over its predecessor. PhD and MPhil applicants must hold:
UK undergraduate (Bachelors) degree with at least first class or upper second class honours or an equivalent qualification from a recognised overseas institution
The undergraduate qualification should normally be in a subject relevant to the subject of the PhD/MPhil/DBA/ DBM
Requires 3-5 years of professional experience and also requires a Research Proposal
Research degrees are demanding and intensive programmes. To succeed at this level, applicants must be highly motivated, be able to work independently and as part as part of a team, be able to plan and manage their own work, and have an appropriate familiarity with the discipline and its associated research techniques.
English Language Requirements
All students who are not nationals of a majority English speaking country, as defined by UK Visas and Immigration must be able to provide recent evidence that their spoken and written command of the English language is adequate for the programmes for which they have applied.
